Sea Turtles

Friends of mine live on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Someday I hope to write to you about their beautiful story.  The other day, Donavan and Kasey posted fascinating videos of a nest of baby sea turtles who survived Irma and had just hatched on the beach in front of their home.  A few of the babies were a bit disoriented by the newness of their surroundings, but Donavan along with people from the Panama City Turtle Watch helped turn them toward the green waves of the Gulf of Mexico.  It’s amazing to see how these tiny creatures know exactly what to do, minutes after hatching. God has written His code into their DNA.  This is living wonder.  I hope you enjoy watching as much as I do!

“How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.  There is the sea, vast and spacious, teeming with creatures beyond number—  living things both large and small.  There the ships go to and fro, and Leviathan, which you formed to frolic there.  All creatures look to you to give them their food at the proper time.  When you give it to them, they gather it up; when you open your hand, they are satisfied with good things” (Psalm 104: 24 – 28).
